Why did the chicken cross the road...???

So anyway, I know I have been gone from the BLOGGING SCENE for a little while. But I'm not going to apologize because... well... what the hell, it's not like I don't have other obligations....

Oh, what??? You were expecting some quippy response to the chicken joke in the title?? Sorry, I got nothin'

Anyway, the full report of Tae's burthday is in. Some of the highlights - finally a nice shot of the kids... and Cooper looks so much better in his hanbok than he did the first time (actually was happy to wear it...) Tae was OK in his until the hat came... then he was rather unhappy.. Anyway, the girls look beautiful in their hanboks as well... and mom and dad shared a nice moment... and finally.. prior to carnage .. candle celebration... post carnage... and the rest of the album... please enjoy them.. there are a bunch of doubles because we had 2-3 cameras going trying to get the best shot, but just flip through them..

So what else is going on?
How about a trip to the beach - Tae was tentative at first, but I think overall he enjoyed himself.. Everyone pitched in to make a nice little wading pool for the kids.. hard to tell if Tae is dug that deep, but actually those shorts are really long on him.. And poor Cooper... the scars he will develop having worn those bright yellow, flowered swimmies.... But he sure looks happy with his momma.... and ..so does our little Tae The rest of the beach day adventure.

Other odds and ends.... Kira is getting all ready for her first day of Kindergarten... she went to some camps this summer - cooked a few yummy items in cooking class, and really had a blast in read, write, romp class (prep camp for kindergarten). She met some nice kids who will be in her class, and has what we think will be a wonderful teacher for this year and next year (she will loop consecutive years with the same class). And Olivia just had her 3rd grade orientation and is really excited. Again we think she has a gem of a teacher and also knows 1 or 2 kids that she is friendly with in her class. She also took some cooking classes over the summer and has a great recipe book. In addition, she took some theater classes and performed in 2 shows.. most recently was 101 Dalmations. And of course mom is biased, but said that she really did well and was very comfortable up in the stage. She will also be playing in the 10 and under traveling softball team this year after their township league went UNDEFEATED this summer. And our little Cooper is just plugging along. If you have read the BLOG over the past few months, you will see that his major event this summer was the trip back to Korea. He was such a great little man on the trip, and we think it really helped his transition to being a big brother and not the baby any more. And thankfully he is no worse for awareness that I have not made the famed octopus pancake that we ate in Korea.... maybe some day.

Well, I don't have much more to go with... I am not sure how much I posted from July so here is a link for the monthly events... And if you missed it, you can check out the Korea folder and the adventures of Cooper and Tae in Korea.

So for now.. I say good night, I'm tired....
