Not QUITE end of summer....

So NO end of summer blues!!!!!

Just dropping a line to say hello and share a few more experiences... hopefully the pure joy of childhood can bring a few smiles to your faces.

But before I start up, I want to get an opinion if I may... do you like the old collage of the kids (which is getting dated as we speak) or the new one I put together for my computer background? I was thinking about changing the picture located on the right side of the page to this new one... thoughts?

A nice kick off the the month of August was Holt Day at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City. They do this every year for the Holt adoption community so we thought we would make a run down there... first and foremost to share the day with other families as blessed as ours has been, and secondly because with all the talk around the Steel Pier, it may be the last one. So with that, here are a few shining moments....

The girls enjoy a moment together... that just about sums the two of them up to a 'T'.

Cooper and his trusty steed.

'Sorry Chief.. {Cooper} drives the boat {truck}".

Kira and Olivia each take a turn at the wheel. And Cooper seems intent on getting somewhere....

Kira finds a safe motorcycle to ride... and can even pull a wheelie... Liv takes her turn at it...

And 'daredevil' {LOL} Olivia tries the bungee trampoline... or at least puts the straps on and stands on the trampoline... and thanks to the girl pulling the ropes up or she never would have gotten off the ground. At least she seemed to enjoy the Himalaya... or whatever they called it.. but she definitely was OK with fast!!!

And later on in the month, we thought it would be nice to take the kids over to Harvey Cedars for one of the free concerts in the park at dusk.... they had a great time playing in the playground while we listened to some nice music. Cooper becoming a little more adventurous... although going down the steps is still preferable to the slide..... But who could get too frustrated with that face?!??!

And the girls decided to go up high... Liv taking her credits before the slide... and Kira just about ready to shove off....

And what's better than the love of a mother and her daughter (is that a 'fast forward' picture... I still don't see it yet... maybe Olivia, but not Kira yet.. agree or disagree?) Maybe the love of 2 sisters..... Maybe this one from 2 years ago in Disney was a sign of things to come???? OK, call me sentimental, but even today I look at that one and a tear wells up in my eye....

Anyway, that's enough for now, but stay tuned because something tells me that something fairly BIG is on the horizon.....

Could it be Ron and Nancy's new arrival? perhaps, but I'll leave it to them to report in....??
And no, we're not expecting or traveling in the foreseeable future, but there may still be some novelty in the Sattan household....

Until then...
S
